Since Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent received its Version 2.0 update, many players on 12BET have found character development far easier than before. Cait enemies in the Hell areas no longer flee and provide generous experience, making them a popular target for efficient leveling. With several new characters now available, players who obtained Harley can build a Wind-element team capable of automatically farming Ritu at high speed.
The recommended front row consists of a Level 90 unawakened Odette, a Level 84 unawakened Harley, a Level 84 Awakening II Tikilen, and a Level 100 Awakening IV Lynette. The back row should include Level 100 Awakening III Cyrus, Level 100 Awakening IV Zekto, Level 100 Awakening III Viola, and Level 96 Awakening II EX Sofia.
Each battle requires at least six turns and no more than ten, with most runs ending within seven or eight turns. The central strategy is to have the Wind characters in the front row repeatedly use area attacks or randomly targeted skills. During the first turn, EX Sofia activates her healing buff before switching places with Lynette, allowing Lynette to strengthen the entire front row. From that point onward, the team continues attacking with Wind skills.
By the third turn, the shields of Ritu’s two accompanying monsters should be broken. The front-row characters can then switch with the back row, allowing Viola to lower Ritu’s defenses while also reducing the remaining health of the two minions. Around the fifth turn, the supporting enemies may already be defeated. When that happens, the team should switch to single-target attacks and concentrate entirely on Ritu. If either minion survives, another area attack should finish the job. Automatic battle usually completes the encounter in roughly eight turns, so players who prefer convenience lose very little efficiency by letting the system handle the fight.
A low-effort approach favored by players on 12BET allows the front row to attack Ritu until approximately the sixth turn, after which Viola enters to apply her defense debuff. The Wind attackers then return and use their strongest skills to secure the victory. Most of the equipment used in this setup can be crafted at the blacksmith, while EX Sofia alone carries a Fortune weapon. Equipping the entire party with Fortune weapons could shorten each farming run even further.
Odette has the greatest influence on the number of turns required. Her 50 percent chance to perform a consecutive attack means that favorable luck can significantly accelerate the clear. Odette’s Chaotic Wind lowers enemy Wind resistance by 15 percent, while Harley has a skill that reduces it by 20 percent. Activating both during the opening turn allows the resistance reduction to stack up to 30 percent. Because this debuff can remain active for as many as nine turns, it provides a major advantage throughout almost the entire encounter.
Most arena characters, apart from the Fire-element dragon, may still be stuck at Level 84 because players have obtained only their accessories. Manually farming Ritu has therefore renewed interest in developing these previously neglected characters. As the saying goes, time waits for no one, and steady experience farming is often the most reliable way to strengthen an entire roster.
In the routine praised by players on 12BET, Ritu battles in the Hell areas provide consistent experience before the party returns to hunting Cait enemies for additional gains. This creates a smooth progression loop that combines automatic farming, targeted arena development, and efficient experience collection. With the right Wind team, equipment, and debuff timing, Ritu can become one of the most practical targets for rapid character growth.
